Movie Review --- The Expendables 2

I haven't had as much fun at a movie in a long, long time! What a CAMPY good old fashioned 80s action movie romp!  These old guys did such a great job of mugging it up on film, nodding to each others old movies here and there - you had to be fast to catch them! Arnie said it best, "we belong in a museum." Ha ha! The gang from the first Expendables was back, along with a new young guy (Liam Hemsworth - spoiler alert!) who was only along for a while, saddly.  There's lots of blood and guts and stuff blowing up, big guns and flexing muscles.

Sylvester Stallone, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Chuck Norris, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Liam Hemsworth, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger - they were all along for the ride.  Jason Statham  is in it again (I think he's a bit younger then most of these guys, but I love him as an action guy) I'm missing a few of my favs from the 80s...Mel Gibson, Steven Segal, Wesley Snipes.  Where are they!!?

You will love this movie if you were anywhere in the vicinity of the 1980s and loved those movies back then.  The guys are definitely showing their age, but they do it well.  Oh, and suspend your belief system while you're there - there's a lot about this movie that doesn't make sense in the world of countries borders, air space, diplomacy, you know....but it was a lot of fun.  And the music they used was fantastic!  You'll get a kick out of the score.

4 STARS!!!!

PS: I just read another person's wish list for the next movie and I'm adding it here.  What do you think? How could I have forgotten Kurt Russell? Love him too!
